Anya is Professor of Welbeing and Communities at Manchester Metropolitan University and is the Academic Director of the Doctoral Colege with responsibility for delivering the University’s strategy for post graduate research. She has significant experience of developing teaching and learning and leading research.
Her academic career spans almost 30 years and she has led several funded projects focusing on marginalised populations and their experiences of health and social care systems and services, and on the intersection of social and health inequalities. She also has experience of working in the social housing sector in estate management and policy roles, and also as a trainer and consultant.
Member of: Trust Board, People Committee, Representative of the Corporate Trustee for East Cheshire NHS Charitable Fund and Representative of the Corporate Trustee for the North West BAME Assembly.
